More elderly parents living with their children

New census data shows a record number of elderly parents are now living with their adult children. In the past seven years, the number has surged by 62 percent.

When an elderly parent can no longer live independently, and you’d prefer not to trust care to a retirement or nursing home, having a parent move in with you may be an option you’re considering.  But this can place a strain on your own family dynamics.  That’s when one of our cabins, situated on your property, might just be the solution you’ve been looking for.  Independence for the parent, with convenient and frequent access for you while maintaining privacy for your parent and your own family too.

Take a look at our roomy Bluebonnet and Sage models — one of these could be the answer to your dilemma.

Testimonials

“Our ranch would be a great place for our extended family to gather on holidays and weekends.   Building a big house to give everyone a place to stay was an option, but was expensive and offered little privacy.  We’re now considering buying several of these cabins — one big one to use as a gathering spot, and several of the smaller ones for each family.”

Mindy Connally

“My mother-in-law is no longer able to live on her own.  Putting the Corner Suite in our back yard has been the perfect solution.  She still retains her privacy and a certain amount of independence, but we’re right there to check on her several times a day.”

Bill Holder

“I was surprised to get so much quality for such a low price.”

Steve Smith

“I loved being able to reconfigure the bathroom to gain more counter space for my wife’s toiletries.”
